Money Saving Hacks at Chick-fil-A

July 12, 2018

I’m not really willing to admit the number of times per week I frequent the Chick-fil-A drive through…let’s just say I may or may not have had breakfast, lunch and dinner from there at some point this week. Our whole family loves it and I especially love the healthier salad options (absolute fav is the Market Salad). Not to mention their customer service is awesome!!! Cars can be backed up for half a mile at our location and somehow we still manage to get through the drive through in a matter of minutes. However, all of that convenience definitely comes at a cost so that’s why I started looking for some money saving hacks at Chick-fil-A and this is what I found:

I didn’t even know about this until recently and I’m so mad about all of the savings I’ve missed out on! After you download the Chick-fil-A One App you’ll receive a QR Code that will need to be scanned by the cashier each time you check out. Every time your code is scanned you earn points which adds up to free treats and of course the more you dine the more you save. We now get a free treat almost every time we go to Chick-fil-A which ends up saving around $3 – $5 per visit. You can also bypass the line by placing your order through the app.

App users also receive freebies when Chick-fil-A spotlights new menu items or for their 12 days of Christmas promotion when every day there is a free treat in store but ONLY for app users!

  • Trade in a Kids Meal Toy for a Free Icedream Cone or Cup

If your kids are anything like mine they already have 10000 kids meal toys laying around on the floor at home probably somewhere that mom is bound to trip on them so the last thing we need is one more!  When ordering a kid’s meal you can opt to skip the “kids premium” and allow your kids to have a sweet treat instead. Today the girls took their garden shovel kids meal toys back up to the register and traded them in for an icedream cone for free and as you can see they were very happy with that substitution.

  • Free Mommy Meal for Expectant Moms

Contact your local Chick-fil-A for information on how to register for this one. Our Chick-fil-A offers a free mommy meal to expectant moms that arrives in the form of this certificate in the mail close to your due date. This is so nice to have when the baby arrives and you don’t want to eat the yucky hospital food, or when you return home and life is just too hectic to cook. The mommy meal from our Chick-fil-A includes a 6-count of chocolate chunk cookies!!!

I was told the Chick-fil-A Cow Calendars are sold during the months of November through January (while supplies last). The calendar offers different free treats each month all year long. Take a look at this year’s monthly offerings.

  • Split Adult Meals Between Kids

I save roughly $1.25 by ordering one 12 -count nugget meal for $7.65 (before tax) instead of two chicken nugget kids meals for $8.90. This is if you want to forgo the toy and option for free ice cream. I know $1.25 doesn’t sound like a lot of savings but it definitely adds up when you frequent Chick-fil-A as often as we do!

  • Free Breakfast for Seniors

This is a great way to treat grandma or grandpa to a free breakfast! Again, check your local Chick-fil-A for info on this one. Our’s offers a free breakfast for seniors 65 years and older every Wednesday morning.

Keep in mind that all Chick-fil-A locations are franchises which are all individually owned and operated and events and promotions may vary depending on the location. The best way to know what deals are happening at your Chick-fil-A is to follow your store’s location on Facebook.  Find you nearest location here.

What are some of your Chick-fil-A savings hacks??? Feel free to add to this list by sharing your thoughts and comments with me below or contact http://makingmemorieswithmyminis.com/contact/.

What!? I can trade in that kids’ toy for ice cream! I had no idea! I also haven’t been using the app since we don’t get there too often (it’s in another town) but I will be adding it to my phone on our next visit.

This is so good to know! My kids love this place, but it can be more pricey than other fast food.

My son mentioned last time that he could trade his toy for ice cream. I didn’t know it was legit! I hope my Chick Fil A has a new mommy meal. Thanks for the great tips. We’ll be using these!

Great list! We do these too! And I totally agree about the awesome salads, but I’m partial to the Spicy Southwest salad over the Market Salad 🙂
